English Language Challenge

Hello everyone!

English for me is very important, so having this subject at the University has been very useful. I would like to dedicate more time to study and practice it, but this year has been very chaotic. Nevertheless, I have learned so much any way :)

The blogs have been very good for me to develop the writing and for searching words in the Dictionary. Writing I have perceived that my English is not too bad Jaja but when I have to speak and improvise, I feel like Tarzan speaking 馃槀馃槩馃槀

I need to improve my speaking, add vocabulary urgently, and many other things. For this, I am planning to continue with English classes for the next year. I wish to have good English because I would like to continue my studies in another country. Apart from that, English is a universal language that I can use for traveling, for classes, for watching documentaries in English or simply to communicate with other people around the world.

About a personal experience specifically: last summer I traveled for two months to Europe alone, with very little English knowledge, and I was nervous with the language because I was very very shy with English, but the necessity to communicate was incredible: I remember that in a few days I was speaking English without shyness and I could communicate: I was very happy with that. Now I say: of course, I listened English speaking all day, I had no choice jajaja

Returning to Chile, and not listening to English all day, I lost the practice. I am sure that English is only practice (like everything in life).

Thanks for your time!!

Changes to my study programme

Hello everyone!

When I saw the topic for this post, automatically I said: "everything" 馃槀

I love my career, but for me, the studies program needs many things to change: I think that we need more subjects related to music practice, body education for everyone, cultural management, etc. Specifically, in the piano studies program, I would like to have an early keyboards subject, or something similar to know and play other types of keyboards, like the organ, harpsichord, fortepiano, etc: the piano is not the only instrument with a keyboard!

About the infrastructure, I'm sure that I can write a text with many words about that 馃槀 with the pandemic situation I forgot all problems: the elevator, the noise in the study rooms, casino, broken chairs, the instruments...

We have no good pianos at the Faculty 馃槩 is very sad because you can not listen to the "real" sound of the piano or discovering different color sounds. But the worst thing is that the keys are not working in 99% of the piano at the Faculty. Is very sad, but we can use the imagination...

At home, I just have a wall piano so I miss very much the other pianos.

I  wish for a really good piano, but now I just wish to play any grand piano and practicing with other people.

Thanks for your time!

Caruso: my four-legged friend

 Hello, pet lovers!

Today I'm going to talk about my lovely pet: Carusso.

In my family, we have always had a little dachshund puppy (like a hot dog puppy) and they always have named him Carusso.

Caruso I was bought in a dog kennel, but he died very soon -just two or three months after we got him- because he was born ill. 馃槳 Caruso II, had a long life! He lived 14 years old. Honestly, he was very grouchy and he scared me when I was a girl because he didn't like to be touched. Caruso III is my pet currently 馃挀 he is 4 years old and is so so so lovely!! He is like cotton candy. 馃槏

Caruso I, my brother and me

My mother bought him at a private house in 2016. We checked a lot of places for finding a dachshund puppy: my family loved these puppies and they didn't want to change their minds.

Caruso III is my four-legged friend, I love him and he loves me Jajaja is very playful and looks very happy every day. For me, he is happiness transformed into a dog! Since I have memory, I remember having a little dachshund puppy as a pet.

My wish is to always have a dachshund puppy and naming him Caruso.

Thanks for your time, bye!

Free play: A book you should read once in your life

 Hi there!

I was remembering a book that I really loved when I started to study music, and I look back on a beautiful one: Free Play: Improvisation in Life and Art, by Stephen Nachmanovitch (1950- )

I knew this book as a result of a gift from a very dear friend when I was a teenager. Since the first reading, I really loved this friendly book: I felt identified with some chapters and I found the sense or the meaning of some things about music and life. I think that maybe the profession of the author, musical performance, influenced a lot in my experience with this book.

Generally speaking, the book is about music reflections and how we create and improvise always in life in general. Some chapters are: 'Inspirations and Time's Flow', 'Mind at play', 'Disappearing' 'Eros and Creation'...etc. Is difficult to say what this book is about, because for me is like about " THE LIFE" 馃槅馃槀 this book has provoked a lot of questions and reflections in me, one chapter is enough to realease our imagination and creativity.

I recommend it because for me it was very beautiful experience to read, and maybe also it will be to you! The most beatiful is that is not just about music, is about: how  music lives in our life, how we live the music, and how music exists in our lives.

The best concert ever!!

Hello everyone! Today I'm going to talk about the best concert I have seen in my life: Paul McCartney in Chile in 2019.

I believe that Paul McC doesnt't need a big presentation: he was part of the famous British band The Beatles. The concert was on March 20th at the Estadio Nacional, in Santiago de Chile. I went to Gallery with my family: my parents, my two brothers, and also some aunts. That day was very hot and the concert started at 9 pm,  but it was not an impediment to arrive at 4pm for reaching a good place in Gallery.

When the concert started and I saw Paul peeking out to the stage, I couldn't believe it. It was like a dream: I was watching my favourite artist live in that moment, in my country!! I believe that was a memorable concert for all the audience. 'A Hard Day's Night' was the first song of the concert, and I repeat: I couldn't believe it!! I remember 'Hey Jude' with all the audience singing the chorus with an indescribable emotion...

It was my second time at a concert by Paul McC, because I also went to the 2011 concert at the Estadio Nacional also with all my family. I dream with Paul McC coming back again to Chile.

A Country that I woud like to visit

 Hello everyone! 馃榾

In this post I'm going to share with you a place that I'd like to visit someday: Per煤

Since I'm a girl I have wished to travel to Per煤, and soaround all Latin America because I woud like to know more about our indentity  and cultures in our continent. I woud like to experiencie/listen alive different accents, words, foods, climates, musics...

In Per煤 I woud like to go to Machu Picchu because I believe is a very interesting place! Just thinking about that is a old city where Incas inhabited is enought for me to have the motivation to visit it! The Arquitecture is particularly impressive just in photographs: could you imagine it in the real life? Also, I woud like to visit the differences carnavals, musics, and maybe playing the historicals instruments  from Per煤, like a organs 馃憖

Also, I woud like to know Peruvian Cathedrals and Churches, because I am looking foeward to study Colonial Music of Latin America: I think that visitng Per煤 would help me a lot  with this task. I wish to know new music, and over all, about our continent.

I have here some pictures of Machu Picchu and Lima's Cathedral.

     Thanks for your time :)
